2020 Holiday Gift Guide: Gifts for Self-Care

We all have that one person who’s always up on the latest skincare products and beauty trends. They know all the new products and treatments, and their skin and hair always seem to have this annoyingly-perfect glow and bounce. Yes, we all have that person, and this gift guide is for them. They’ll be impressed you knew about these products, perhaps even before they did.

Byredo prides themselves on creating fragrances that are understated, simple, and high-quality. All of their scents have a cult-like following, and the bottles look chic AF on the vanity.

It’s 2020, maskne is a thing. A silk face mask helps protect your delicate face skin and prevent breakouts. Plus, it looks super luxe and is perfect for wearing out.

The Feelist is a new venture by influencer Shea Marie. Despite launching only a few months ago, the brand already has a dedicated base of loyal followers, myself among them. The Most Wanted Oil is their most popular product, and I’m personally a huge fan. I could spend time trying to convince you why a face oil is a good gift, but just do yourself a favor and read the reviews. Did I mention all of their products are infused with CBD?

The only bad thing about The Ordinary is that it took me this long to learn it existed. Theirs are some of the highest quality skincare products around, and the prices are shockingly (actually shockingly) affordable. If you’re new to the skincare game, they have tons of product education on their wesbite, which makes it super easy to pick the right products for you *ahem* I mean your friend.

COSRX’s Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence is the single best face hydrator I have ever used. Yes, even better than Hyaluronic Acid. Chances are, your beauty guru friend hasn’t heard of this one because, well, it’s comprised of 96% snail secretion…aka snail slime. Don’t let that deter you though, it’s super affordable and has a celeb-following.

Raise your hand if you had to do more at-home manicures than you would have liked in 2020. Thankfully, cute press-on nails are now a thing.

Also now a thing? CBD everything. This body balm has a megadose designed to soothe the sorest of muscles.

Female-founded in 2017, The Nue Co.’s mantra is to “make supplements using ingredients that do not harm people or the planet”. They make products that are clean, proven, and sustainable. This one’s called the Skin Filter. Need I say more?

I never met a hair or face oil I didn’t like. This hair oil by Gisou is infused with honey and smells like heaven. If the oil is too much they also make a hair perfume, because is there anything more luxurious than hair perfume?

I’m obsessed with my silk pillowcase, and a silk hair wrap is just next level. Plus, it doubles as an accessory according to the reviews.

Finally, we have the tool that has single-handedly transformed the texture of my skin. If you haven’t had a dermaplaning treatment, go get one immediately. Trust me. My mom is an aesthetician, so I’m fortunate enough to have her to dermaplane my face on the reg. Otherwise, I would have invested in this at-home dermaplaning tool a long time ago.

I hope this guide helps you find the perfect gift for the beauty afficionado on your list! For more gift ideas, check out my guide for gifts under $100.

As always, thank you for reading and sharing! XOXO
