In the Trenches
Spring is officially in the air – which, aside from rosé being officially in season, means the weather can change drastically between morning, afternoon, and night. It is once again time to pull out your favorite transitional pieces, which for me means my trench coats. Trench coats have long been my favorite between-seasons item. They are the perfect piece to throw on if there’s a sudden chill in the air, but not so bulky that you can’t just toss it over your chair while you enjoy the afternoon warmth.
Last fall I wrote about why I consider trench coats to be a closet staple, and I’m reminded of it every time we have one of these volatile weather periods. A good trench coat is timeless and can be worn year after year. They also come in so many different materials and colors that you can easily find one to fit your needs, whether it be an office-appropriate style or one better suited for evening wear.
I’ve linked some of my current favorites at the bottom of the post!
I love the subtle pink color of the trench I’m wearing above. For me, pink/blush has become a neutral and I find that it can coordinate with almost anything! This particular coat is nearly sold out, but I linked some similar ones at the bottom! You can also shop the rest of my outfit at the end of the post.
I recently shot this look with a trench I bought last summer! There are few pieces more timeless than a beige/tan trench coat, in my opinion. I love that you can wear a coat like this so many different ways – it’s a true closet maximizer! This one is sold out (though you can rent it HERE on Rent the Runway for only $30!), but I linked several other great beige styles below. I particularly love the pleated back detail on this one!
P.S. – My dress is only $18 AND you can get 40% off today with code: BABE! Keep scrolling for my full outfit links!
