Light Layers for Fall
Happy Saturday everyone! I spent the day working on my fall décor and tablescape and I am so excited to share it with you guys once it’s all complete! There are currently pumpkins of all shapes, sizes, and colors strewn around my house, and although my inner Monica Geller is having an OCD meltdown, it’s also finally feeling like fall around here. I feel like I need to bake something pumpkin-spice flavored just to really complete the vibe!
Speaking of fall, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite layering pieces for the season – a light trench coat! A good trench coat is a closet staple and a true transitional piece. It will get you through those mother-nature-can’t-make-up-her-mind seasons like we’re having now, and can go from day to night seamlessly. I also love how versatile a trench can be! I’m all about maximizing your closet and getting the best bang for your buck, and a trench coat certainly fits the bill. It can be styled so many different ways for numerous occasions. My favorite way to wear it is to throw it on over my dinner outfit when I want to look seasonally appropriate walking in to the restaurant, but also know I’ll probably be hot as soon as I sit down.
The one I’m wearing in this post is the Cupcakes and Cashmere Anamaria Trench, which is unfortunately sold out. However, you can rent it on Rent the Runway using this link! I’ve also linked a super similar one below! I particularly like that this coat did not come with its own belt, so I could add my own or wear it open.
